Established in 1680, The Lord Poulett Arms is a traditional yet stylish thatched pub, located in the heart of the historic Somerset village of Hinton Saint George, two hours from London and thirty-five minutes from Lyme Regis. The pub has a main bar stocked with fine local ales, further dining rooms serve unpretentious food and beautiful gardens with seating and a petanque piste for the warmer months. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and two smaller bedrooms with bathrooms across the corridor as well a large loft room.

A proud alum of Bridgwater & Taunton College, he's passionate about perfecting dishes for our guests, local ingredients, and mentoring the next generation of chefs. When not in the kitchen, you’ll find Luke making memories with his growing family.

Meg recently rejoined The Lord Poulett Arms and is a friendly familiar face behind the bar who ensures everyone’s tipple is always topped up. When she’s not at the pub, she’s usually spending quality time with her son and enjoying life in the countryside.

Rosey

/ Landlady

In her time at the Lord Poulett, Rosey has done it all. From Kitchen Porter to Bartender, it's no wonder she's now the woman in charge, she knows this pub like the back of her hand. A friendly face, you'll find often Rosey enjoying a drink and a chat with the locals.

Jess

/ Assistant General Manager

Jess has been part of The Lord Poulett Arms for years and has grown up alongside the pub. Now Assistant General Manager, she keeps everything running smoothly with a smile and knows the area like the back of her hand. Usually found planning her next adventure, she’s the perfect person to ask about the best things to do nearby.

Ryan

/ Sous Chef

Starting at The Lord Poulett as a humble Kitchen Porter, Ryan has worked his way up to be a talented Junior Sous Chef. Other than cooking, his passion, and the love of his life, is his car.
